Objective: Specification & delivery of robust digtial signage solutions
Key Function
You will be responsible for ensuring as a business we deliver digitally enabled retail experiences / digital signage solutions that are robust, thoroughly tested & stable for the long term. Working with our internal content teams, software developers and project managers you will be required to specify the correct mix of hardware and software to ensure the end customer requirement is achieved. Providing a support line so our customers have direct access and quick technical support to solve any issues that arise in the field.
Solution Specification
• Working with our creative designers & project managers specify the right blend of hardware and software required to deliver the desired digital solution.
• Have a deep understanding of client’s CMS – Connie and selecting 3rd party CMS options as required to suit a client need.
• Sourcing and working with external suppliers to deliver solutions
• Work with sales and PM leads to specify & price the digital hardware & software requirement of a project.
• Work with internal technical / CAD designers to ensure correct allowances are made for hardware, ventilation & maintenance access.
• R&D – working proactively with development lead’s to bring to life new innovative retail solutions – help us deliver the future of retail with digitally enabled solutions.
Configuration
• Setting up hardware and content solution for low volume jobs or maintenance visits – media players, NUC’s, SOC screens, 4G routers, etc matching that specified.
• Work with IT and software teams to set and configure specialist solutions that have been developed in-house.
• Working with supplier / factories to ensure a standard of quality / testing across volume deployments
• Document all hardware and software specification / configuration by project
• CMS pre-configuration
• Working with the installation teams to ensure hardware is correctly connected to the CMS during install, this will require out of hours work at times.
Support
• Own the 1st Stage helpline, remotely troubleshooting issues and finding ways to solve
• Own and develop a reporting process to track activity
• Co-ordinate with maintenance teams as required if on-site visits are required
• Device monitoring & reporting by client / project
• Producing troubleshooting guides
Education & Experience
• Digital signage, AV engineering experience
• Proactive, can-do attitude
• Un-flappable & well organised
• Strong communicator
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
